The Parish of Stillington and Whitton is situated in the Northern Parishes of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in the North East of England, a rural community with a population for the two villages of approximately 1400 people.
Stillington is an active community which has a large number of local services including:
C of E church, primary school, surgery/health centre, shop/post office, village hall, take-away, garage, allotments, bus service, Forest Park nature reserve, business units and industrial estate.
With approx. 600 dwellings, housing is very evenly varied with all sizes built from 1870's to 2022.
Whitton is a quiet hamlet within a mile east of Stillington, with fewer than 50 dwellings and situated next to Honeypot Woods.

In the 2008 document ‘Planning the Future of Rural Villages in Stockton-on-Tees ’ Stillington was the only village to 'tick all the boxes' in the Borough and achieve Tier 1 Status on Sustainability.
